Executive Leader Brings Innovative Track Record, Commitment to acclaimed hospital
Morgan Medical Center — Morgan County’s acclaimed state-of-the-art community hospital and Level IV Trauma Center — welcomes Barret Rhoads as its new Chief Financial Officer. With more than a decade of experience in health care leadership and financial operations, Rhoads’ deep commitment to excellence and track record of innovation in health care administration gives patients another reason to choose Morgan Medical Center with confidence.
“At Morgan Medical Center, we take great care in all aspects of the hospital with meticulous attention to detail,” says Ralph A. Castillo, CPA, CEO of Morgan Medical Center. “Without strong and thoughtful financial operations, we’d be unable to offer the breadth of services that we do, delivered by such high-level providers utilizing the latest technology. Simply put, a strong financial base allows us to continue to be here for the community and grow alongside it in new and exciting ways. Bringing Barret Rhoads on board as CFO will most certainly help us continue to reach that goal.”
Prior to joining Morgan Medical Center, Rhoads held executive leadership roles at Logansport Memorial Hospital in Logansport, Indiana and North Country Healthcare in Whitfield, New Hampshire, where he led strategic financial initiatives that improved performance, expanded service lines, and enhanced operational efficiency. Before his career in health care administration, Rhoads served on active duty in the U.S. Navy for six years, deploying to Africa and the Middle East.
Rhoads holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, as well as a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration (MHA) from Seton Hall University. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
“I’m honored to join the exceptional team at Morgan Medical Center,” says Rhoads. “My family and I are thrilled to call Morgan County home, and I’m committed to supporting the hospital’s mission and making a positive difference in the lives of others as we deliver high-quality, compassionate care to our friends and neighbors.”
