Occupational, Physical & Speech Therapy

Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic

At Morgan Medical Center we put patients first, and our outpatient rehabilitation clinic is no exception. We take pride in providing individualized, one-on-one treatment to patients of all ages and helping each individual reach their maximum level of recovery. Our trusted team of physical, occupational and speech therapists have countless hours of clinical experience.

The outpatient rehabilitation clinic offers integrated physical, occupational and speech therapy services designed to meet patients’ unique needs. Our indoor facility is outfitted with new therapy and exercise equipment for adults, including parallel bars and upper- and lower-body bikes.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapists are movement specialists who work closely with each patient to incorporate exercise, hands-on techniques and education to reduce pain and improve range of motion. Each of our physical therapists have a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and extensive knowledge in human anatomy, kinesiology and physiology.

We treat:

  • Joint injuries/replacements
  • Sprains and strains
  • Balance disorders and dizziness

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists work with patients to overcome illness, disability or physical impairment and design a care plan focused on helping them get back to daily life. Our occupational therapists are also trained to treat orthopedic and neurological conditions affecting the shoulder, arm and hand.

We treat:

  • Shoulder, arm and hand joint injuries and replacements
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Multiple sclerosis

Speech Therapy

Speech and language disorders can impact a person’s ability to speak correctly and communicate effectively with others. Morgan Medical Center’s speech-language pathologists receive specialized training and certification to assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders that affect patients’ ability to express themselves.

Our speech-language pathologists perform Modified Barium Swallow studies with Morgan Medical Center’s Radiology Department. These studies use moving x-ray video, called fluoroscopy, to evaluate how a patient swallows and allow us to provide the safest dietary recommendations for those with dysphagia.

We treat:

  • Speech disorders
  • Difficulties organizing thoughts, paying attention, remembering, planning and problem solving
  • Dysphagia (using Modified Barium Swallow studies)
  • Oral and pharyngeal musculature issues (using electrical stimulation and surface electromyography)
