Funds Raised Will Support Growing Healthcare Needs in Region
Morgan Medical Center (MMC) is proud to announce it has received a transformative $1 million matching challenge grant from an anonymous donor, marking the official launch of the Morgan Medical Center Foundation’s (MMCF) $2 million capital campaign, Growing for You.
This generous gift challenges the community to contribute the funds necessary to reach the full potential of the match, doubling the impact and accelerating critical improvements to healthcare services across the region.
Funds raised through the campaign will support a multi-phase construction and expansion project designed to enhance patient care, improve access to advanced technology, and meet the growing needs of Morgan County and surrounding communities.
“This extraordinary commitment is both a gift and a call to action,” says Megan Morris, MMCF Executive Director. “It reflects a deep belief in our mission and provides an incredible opportunity for our community to come together and invest in the future of local healthcare.”
The Growing for You campaign will help fund several key initiatives, including:
Diagnostic Imaging Enhancements
- Addition of advanced Cardiac CT capabilities.
- Construction of an in-house MRI suite with expanded cardiac imaging capabilities.
Third Operating Room Suite
- Increasing surgical capacity and reducing wait times for procedures.
Expanded Emergency Department Treatment Rooms
- Improving patient flow and reducing wait times in emergency care.
New Laboratory Area
- Enhancing efficiency and turnaround times for diagnostic testing.
New Pharmacy and Cardiopulmonary Areas
- Expanding facilities to better support patient care and clinical services.
Together, these improvements will significantly strengthen Morgan Medical Center’s ability to provide high-quality, timely, and comprehensive care close to home.

Community members, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to participate in the matching challenge and help bring these essential projects to life. Charitable gifts, including new gifts received through Georgia’s popular rural hospital tax credit program, Georgia HEART, will be matched dollar for dollar up to a total match of $1 million.
