Acclaimed Community Hospital Honored By Georgia Critical Access Hospital Community of Practice
Morgan Medical Center — Morgan County’s acclaimed state-of-the-art community hospital and Level IV Trauma Center — recently received the PRIME Award from the Georgia Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Community of Practice program. The award recognizes critical access hospitals in Georgia for their commitment to workforce development and employee engagement.
Out of the 30 critical access hospitals in the state eligible to participate in the program, only four receive a PRIME Award. The honor reflects Morgan Medical Center’s unwavering dedication to its employees, which enhances patient care, making the hospital a trusted, community health care source.
“Our goal of being a patient focused center of excellence begins with our staff,” says Ralph A. Castillo, CPA, CEO of Morgan Medical Center. “Developing a fortified team and keeping them engaged in our unified mission of providing the best possible care to our patients is essential to our success. And we’re beyond grateful our efforts are receiving notice.”
The Georgia CAH Community of Practice program works to improve financial and operational performance in Georgia’s critical access hospitals through knowledge sharing and co-creation of evidence-based solutions to financial and operational challenges.
