Morgan Physician Services, General Surgery provides inpatient and outpatient surgical services to diagnose and treat a wide range of diseases and disorders, including appendectomies, gallbladder and hemorrhoid removals, hernia repairs, diagnostic upper endoscopy, screening and diagnostic colonoscopy, colon resections, and more.

Dr. Jacob Werkin and his team of seasoned medical professionals offer personalized surgical options and are available to see patients inside Morgan Medical Center weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Jacob Werkin, M.D.

Dr. Jacob Werkin is a board-certified general surgeon with a passion for connecting with patients and supporting their health and wellness. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at Mount Carmel Health in Columbus, Ohio.
