John Layher, MD


Dr. John Layher is a board-certified cardiologist bringing nearly 30 years of cardiovascular expertise to Morgan Medical Center and the communities we serve. Practicing in the region since 1999, Dr. Layher is recognized for delivering comprehensive, patient-centered cardiac care supported by advanced diagnostic imaging and leading-edge technology. His approach emphasizes early detection, prevention, and individualized treatment plans designed to help patients achieve better heart health close to home.

Dr. Layher earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine, completed his internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and completed his cardiology fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine.

Through the expansion of Cardiology Services at Morgan Medical Center, patients now have greater local access to specialized cardiovascular evaluation, advanced imaging, heart rhythm management, and ongoing cardiac care without the need to travel far from their community.
