The department is led by board-certified surgeons Dr. Jacob Werkin and Dr. Sergio Mejias, who are dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Dr. Werkin is committed to providing personalized care and has a passion for connecting with patients to support their health and wellness. Dr. Mejias brings decades of experience in general surgery and colorectal surgery and is widely known in Georgia for his expertise in complex procedures and advanced minimally invasive techniques, including laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
