Looking to start or advance your career in health care? Apply now for Morgan Medical Center’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program! Applications are due Friday, July 9.
Why Become a CNA:
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) help patients with activities of daily living and other health care needs under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). If you have a passion for helping others, are considering a career in health care or are looking to grow your skills, becoming a CNA may be the perfect role for you!
Classes will be held at Morgan Medical Center Tuesdays through Thursdays from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. for 12 weeks.
- Tuesday, August 3: Class begins
- October 4-8: Fall Break
- October 12-14: Class will be held at Madison Health and Rehabilitation Center (across from the old hospital) from 6:45 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. to meet our (24) State Mandatory Nursing Home hours.
- November 2-11: Review days for Certification Exam
- Saturday, November 13 (tentative): Certification Exam
How to Apply:
To apply, complete the online application form. Applications must be submitted by July 9, 2021. Interviews will be set up after receipt of applications. Participants must be a high school graduate or have completed their GED to apply, with a few exceptions. Class size is limited to 6 participants, so application does not guarantee acceptance.
The cost of the class is $500.00. Students will be responsible for the cost of a few additional required items including, but not limited to, certification exam fee, scrubs, and class textbook.
